Ari (Jeremy Piven) tries to convince his wife (Perrey Reeves) that buying Terrance’s (Malcolm McDowell) company is not a personal vendetta. After repeated attempts to get over Jamie-Lynn (Jamie-Lynn Sigler), Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) decides to make a grand gesture to be with her. EMMY, SET, GO: Emmanuelle Chriqui has been scoping out the latest designer duds for Spring 2010 — the “Entourage” actress has already been spotted in the front rows of Yigal Azrouël and Reem Acra, and plans to go to Marchesa’s presentation Wednesday — but she’s keeping cool about her attire for Emmy night on Sept. 20. “Reem’s doing it [my gown],” said Chriqui, outfitted in a lemon dress and a purple sash at Acra’s show on Sunday. “I’ve wanted to wear her for quite some time, but we just hadn’t been able to make it work. I’m a huge fan [of Acra’s]. I think she’s phenomenal.”
“Saint John of Las Vegas” stars Steve Buscemi as a recovering gambling addict who ditches Las Vegas (and his problems) for a job with an auto insurance company, only to find himself forced to confront his old demons when he returns to Sin City on a job assignment. With a cast that also includes Romany Malco, Peter Dinklage, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Tim Blake Nelson, John Cho and Sarah Silverman, however, that basic plot description barely scratches the surface of this wickedly wild Vegas dramedy that works as a sort of parallel to Dante’s Divine Comedy and includes wheelchair-bound strippers, nude militants and a carnival human torch, among other freakishly colorful characters.
The film will be released in theaters on November 13th!
Santa Monica-based Myriad Pictures has picked up all international rights to Sebastian Gutierrez’ comedy Women In Trouble and will commence sales here.
Carla Gugino, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Adrianne Palicki, Sarah Clarke and Josh Brolin star in the ensemble story about a day in the overlapping lives of ten different women.
CAA packaged the project and handled sold US rights to Screen Media, who plan a November release.
The film premiered at the 2009 SXSW Film Festival and is based on a screenplay by Gutierrez. The Venezuelan-born film-maker is in post-production on the sequel Elektra Luxx, based on Cugino’s character. His credits include Snakes On A Plane, Gothika, and Rise.
“Our entire team at Myriad loves this picture and Sebastian, from the first time we all met and talked about its unique and daring point of view,” Myriad president and CEO Kirk D’Amico said.
“He is a wonderfully imaginative film-maker with a great sense of humour, and brings out the very best in all his actors.”
