An all-star cast bring the chills to DVD and Blu-ray on November 8th with the Anchor Bay Films thriller “13″.
A remake of the award-winning 2005 international sensation 13 Tzameti, 13 is written and directed by Gela Babluani, the original film’s writer/director, and boasts an all-star cast including Sam Riley (Control, Brighton Rock), Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (Get Rich or Die Tryin’), Ray Winstone (The Departed, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull), Alexander Skarsgård (“True Blood”), Oscar nominee Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road, “Boardwalk Empire,” the upcoming Superman film Man of Steel), Ben Gazzara (Saint Jack, They All Laughed), Emmanuelle Chriqui (You Don’t Mess With The Zohan, “Entourage”) with Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler, Iron Man 2) and Jason Statham (The Expendables, The Mechanic).
The original 13 Tzameti (the Georgian word for “13”) won the 2006 Sundance Grand Jury Prize and Babluani won best director at the Venice Film Festival.
In the film, Vince Ferro is a man in desperate circumstances. While on a quick fix-it job, he steals an envelope containing instructions for a mysterious job that promises a potential fortune. He assumes a false identity and follows the instructions, only to find himself a numbered participant in an underworld Russian roulette competition, where gamblers place bets on who’ll survive when the trigger is pulled.
The stakes are high, but the payout is more than he can resist. Many are competing for the first time, and a precious few have even returned to play again, but are his odds any better than other players in this most deadly game? What will it take to be the last man standing?
Bonus features on 13 Blu-ray™ and DVD will include a behind-the-scenes featurette, and the theatrical trailer.
You can pre-order the DVD and Blu-ray versions of the film right now!

In an early announcement to retailers, Starz/Anchor Bay is working on ’5 Days of War’ for Blu-ray on November 29.
This action-packed international thriller from acclaimed director Renny Harlin (‘Die Hard 2,’ ‘Cliffhanger’) is based on the true events of a renegade American journalist, his cameraman and a local woman caught behind enemy lines during the devastating five day war between Russian and the Georgian Republic.
From writers Mikko Alanne and David Battle, ’5 Days of War’ features an all-star cast including Rupert Friend (‘Young Victoria,’ ‘The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas’), Emmanuelle Chriqui (HBO’s “Entourage,” ‘You Don’t Mess With The Zohan’), Richard Coyle (‘Prince of Persia’), Andy Garcia (‘City Island,’ ‘Oceans 12′), Val Kilmer (‘Kiss Kiss Bang Bang,’ ‘Batman Forever’), and proves director Harlin to still be the master of the high-octane action genre.
The Blu-ray will feature 1080p video, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 soundtrack, and there doesn’t seem to be any supplements on this release.
Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $29.97.

Are you ready to hug it out just one last time? The summer debut of Entourage’s final season is almost upon us and HBO has released the synopses of the first two episodes. Of course, these descriptions contain spoilers, so read on only if you want to have a rough idea of what’s going to happen.
From the looks of things, Vince will have just graduated from rehab and his crew attempts to throw him a coming home party sans alcohol. That’s obviously no easy feat if you know how these guys roll. In the meantime, Ari will be attempting to work things out with Mrs. Ari (hopefully, we’ll get to know her real name finally this season). As for E, he’ll be fishing himself out of his own girl trouble as the prenup talks with Sloan cooled things down between them. Drama will be working on Johnny’s Bananas and Turtle will continue his business ventures.
Episode 8.1: “Home Sweet Home” (Written and directed by Doug Ellin)
Fresh from rehab, Vince (Adrian Grenier) is psyched about a new film idea, but the guys don’t share his excitement. Eric (Kevin Connolly) and Scott (Scott Caan) sign Johnny Galecki to their new management company. Ari (Jeremy Piven) tries desperately to win back Mrs. Ari (Perrey Reeves). Drama (Kevin Dillon) throws Vince a “dry” welcome-home party.
Episode 8.2 “Out With a Bang” (Written by Ally Musika; directed by Doug Ellin)
Vince’s movie is re-imagined as a TV film starring Drama. Ari takes Lloyd (Rex Lee) on a recon mission. Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) can’t get Alex on the phone. Eric receives a surprising voicemail from Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui). Andrew Dice Clay, Drama’s co-star on “Johnny’s Bananas,” needs representation.
Renny Harlin (DIE HARD 2) has made some entertaining action films during his directing career. Here’s the trailer for his new film 5 DAYS OF WAR, which certainly looks like an exciting action-filled thriller. The cast includes Rupert Friend, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Andy Garcia, Richard Coyle and Val Kilmer.
In this intensely human portrayal of courage under fire, acclaimed director Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger) combines heart pounding action with real human drama, as he tells the riveting story of a war reporter caught behind enemy lines during the 2008 Russian invasion of Georgia. As a nation fights for its very survival, a brave and passionate coalition of international reporters and local Georgians risk their lives to tell the true human cost of military conflict.
