When a down on his luck gambling-addict named John (Steve Buscemi) decides to get away from Sin City, he packs up and finds a job at an insurance company in Albuquerque – which leads to a new girlfriend (Sarah Silverman) and the promising start of a new life. Just as things start looking up, the ex-gambler is sent on a road trip back to Vegas with a mysterious, veteran coworker to investigate a bizarre claim. The twosome embark on a journey full of hilarious encounters and oddball situations, showing John that running away from problems doesn’t make them disappear and that there’s more than one way to hit the jackpot in life.
